This role supports Device pillar maturity aligned to the CISA Zero Trust Maturity Model (ZTMM), strengthening device-based access enforcement and compliance validation.
About the Role
The Governance & Automation Specialist supports security policy lifecycle management and automation integration across enterprise security controls.
What You Will Do
- Develop and maintain automated remediation workflows
- Support policy deployment and rollback orchestration
- Coordinate exception management processes
- Contribute to recurring maturity and control validation reviews
- Integrate automation outputs into reporting and compliance processes
- Align enforcement updates with change management procedures
What We’re Looking For
Experience
7+ years cybersecurity engineering experience
- Experience building automation workflows across security platforms
- Experience with SOAR platforms and scripting
Education
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
Required Certifications
- Security+
Preferred Certifications
- GIAC Security Automation (GCSA)OR
- Vendor SOAR certification (e.g., Splunk SOAR, Palo Alto Cortex, XSOAR)OR
- Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) if automation touches cloud controls
Clearance & Work Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Must have resided in the U.S. for three of the last five years (unless exempt)
- Must comply with DHS Trusted Workforce 2.0 continuous vetting requirements
- Background investigation conducted via SF-85P as required
